Columbus Municipal Airport occupies 602 acres of property located one mile to the northeast of the central business district.
Columbus Municipal Airport is served by two runways. Primary 14-32 is oriented from the northeast to the southwest. The runway is 6,800 feet long and 100 feet wide, and constructed of concrete.
The airport also provides an unpaved turf crosswind runway. This runway has a designation of 2-20 and is 4,135 feet long and 150 feet wide. This is a great attraction for the local and transient pilots that have tail dragger airplanes.

Columbus Municipal Airport is equipped with an automated weather observation system (AWOS-3).
