[ARCHIVED] Observance of New Year's Day Holiday

Some City of Columbus departments will be closed at various times in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.
All departments located in City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2017.

The Columbus Public Library will be open their regular hours 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 31, and will be closed Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2.

The Columbus Area Transit will be closed Saturday, December 31, Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2.

Animal Control will be open 7:30 am – 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 31, and will be closed on Sunday, January 1 and Monday, January 2.

The Aquatic Center will be open their regular hours of 1:00 - 6:00 pm on Saturday December 31, and they will be closed Sunday, January 1. From January 2 thru January 4 will be regular open swim hours: 1:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. January 5 will have extended open swim hours from 1:00 – 8:00 pm. If you have any questions, please call the Aquatic Center at 402-563-3222.

The Columbus Transfer Station will be open for regular business on Saturday, December 31, will be closed Sunday, January 1, and will be open on Monday, January 2 for Licensed Garbage Haulers ONLY from 8:00 – 12:00 noon. They will be open with regular hours on January 3.

Van Berg golf course will be open, weather permitting. During the month of January, Van Berg will be open for walking only. Quail Run will be open on December 31, weather permitting, and they will be closed on January 1, and during the full month of January. Columbus and Roselawn Cemeteries, and all parks will be open.

The Street, Wastewater, Water Production, and Water Utility Service Divisions will be on call for emergencies.

The Columbus Fire and Police Departments will be available 24-7 for public safety responses.
