Transfer Station Project

Groundbreaking for the new $3,245,000 Solid Waste Transfer Station took place on March 10, 2014. B-D Construction of Columbus was awarded the contract for construction of this facility. This project is expected to be completed in November of this year.

Highway US-81/US-30 Resurfacing

Work is scheduled to begin the week of April 7th on Highway US-81/US-30 in and south of Columbus.

Spring Hydrant Flushing

The Columbus Water Utility Division will begin their spring hydrant flushing on Monday, March 31, 2014.

Residents may notice discolored water and low pressure as crews pass through their areas.
The flushing and flow testing will last up to three (3) weeks.

Big Year For Columbus
