The Aquatic Center is one of the
finest indoor public pools in Nebraska. It is located at 1783
10th Avenue, next to the Agricultural Park. The pool is open
seven days a week, 12 months out of the year. A variety of programs
are offered to meet the needs of the community. These include:
adult lap swim, open swim, Red Cross swim lessons, youth swim
team, and water exercise classes. Please call (402) 563-3222

The Aquatic Center was built
in 1983 and houses an eight lane indoor swimming pool
100 feet by 64 feet, with depth ranging from 2 1/2 feet
to 12 feet. The pool is equipped with a one-meter diving
board. The pool contains 300,000 gallons of water.
The Aquatic facility is
also home to the Columbus High School "Discoverers"
swim team. During the swim season, which runs
November through February; with practices, swim meets
and regional conferences, you'll find plenty of high
school swimming action here. Check the Columbus
High School for scheduled home meets and conferences.
The Columbus Aquatic Association raised the funds for
a new scoring system that includes new touch pads, starting
block speakers, and a beautiful score board. A
new record board was also installed that displays the
events, times, and record holders.
