Dennis KreshaTerm: 12/2014 to 12/2018

Voters of Second Ward elected Dennis Kresha as their Council Member in the November 2014 election. Dennis was sworn in on December 1, 2014. Dennis is a member of the Public Property, Safety, and Works Committee.

Dennis was born and raised on a farm south of Duncan and went to school in Osceola until he was a junior in high school when his parents moved to Columbus. He then attended and graduated from Columbus High. For two years he worked at Becton-Dickinson. He then went into the Navy for three years serving in the Vietnam War. Following his tour of duty with the Navy, Dennis worked at the Army Ammunition Plant at Grand Island, NE for three years. Mr. Kresha and his wife Carolyn moved to Columbus when Dennis accepted the position of U.S. Postal employee in Columbus. He worked for the U.S. Postal System for 32 1/2 years as a city carrier and clerk. During his tenure with the Post Office, Dennis attended Platte College and earned an Associate's degree in Economics and Sociology. Since his retirement, he has had various part-time jobs.

Dennis and his wife Carolyn have been married 45 years and are members of St. Anthony Catholic church for the past 45 years. They have four children and 12 grandchildren. Dennis is a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW and American Legion.
