When the city has an opening, the
public is encouraged to come to City Hall to apply on a timely
basis for that job.
The city's goals for employees include the following:
a) To provide equal employment

work performed.
c) To establish reasonable hours of work based on the city's
service obligations.

The Human Resources Manager
also serves as the Risk Manager for the City of Columbus. He
acts as the liaison between the City of Columbus and the
insurance company in handling workers compensation for the city
and for its employees.
