Some City of Columbus departments will be closed Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Those closed include: Animal Control, Aquatic Center, City Hall, Columbus Public Library, Columbus Area Transit System (CAT), and Senior Center.
The Columbus Transfer Station will be open Thursday, July 4th to licensed garbage haulers only from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon. The Yard Waste Site will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon.
Quail Run and Van Berg golf courses, cemeteries, and all parks will be open. The gates at Roselawn Cemetery will close the evening of Wednesday, July 3rd. Pawnee Plunge Water Park will be open -- weather permitting.
The Columbus Fire and Police departments will be open 24-7 for all calls.
The Street Department, Wastewater, Water Production and Water Utility Service will be on call for any emergency.
