[ARCHIVED] 23rd Street and 26th Avenue Four-Way Stop

The Nebraska Department of Roads U.S. Highways 30 and 81 reconstruction project continues in Columbus.

Construction on the traffic signal controller at the intersection of 23rd Street and 26th Avenue will require a four-way stop on Wednesday, August 14, 2014, with completion the same day. Traffic control features will eliminate left hand turn lanes off or 23rd Street onto 26th Avenue.

Traffic delays and backups will occur. If at all possible, alternate routes should be considered. The public is encouraged to use extreme caution in and around the work zone and to anticipate traffic control features, stopped vehicles, slow speeds, construction workers and equipment.

The Nebraska Department of Roads contact is Dave Anderson, who may be reached at (402) 564-5751.
