[ARCHIVED] Nebraska's Musical Smorgasbord: Music from Various Ethnic Groups in Nebraska

On Sunday, October 25th, at 2:00 p.m. in the lower level Art Gallery of the library, the Friends of the Columbus Public Library will present, "Nebraska's Musical Smorgasbord: Music from Various Ethnic Groups in Nebraska". Lincoln native Chris Sayre will be the featured entertainer. He has been performing music professionally for over 40 years, and has dedicated much of that time to the promotion and preservation of traditional folk music from Western Europe and North America. Over the years, he has won many awards, most notably Folk Artist of the Year three times, Entertainer of the Year, and he was an inductee in the KZUM Members' Choice Awards Hall of Fame, as well as winning several first-place finishes in contests throughout the Midwest. Presenting on button accordion, concertina, dulcimer, guitar, mandolin, and saw, Chris endeavors to leave his audience with a greater appreciation of who we are and where we came from.
