[ARCHIVED] Asphalt Improvements 2015 Scheduled to Begin

Scheduled to begin October 27th is the milling work on 23rd Avenue from 17th Street to 22nd Street; 26th Avenue from 14th Street to 22nd Street; 26th Avenue from Kummer Drive to 26th Street; and 18th Avenue from 15th Street to 16th Street associated with the 2015 asphalt improvement projects. These segments of roadways will first be milled, in which vehicles will be traveling on milled surfacing, before the asphalt overlay surface is constructed. Barring any major weather issues, the majority of the work should be substantially complete by November 6th. Additional related work will occur after this date.

Flag persons will be present at the site of the workers directing traffic around the machinery. Drivers shall note there will be bumps located at the end and edges of the milled surface as well as manhole and valve box protrusions.

Pedestrians and vehicular traffic are encouraged to use reduced speeds and extreme caution in and around the construction area.
