The 2017 Animal Licenses are now available. Licenses are required for all dogs and cats over 6 months of age that reside within the city limits of Columbus, and they must be licensed by January 1 to be in compliance with City Ordinance.
Spayed or neutered pets are $13, and intact pets will cost $25 to license. City residents may purchase their animal licenses at the Animal Control office or at the following Veterinary Clinics: Columbus Animal Hospital, Pet Care Specialists, Redstone Veterinary Hospital, and Twin Rivers Veterinary Clinic. Proof of rabies vaccinations (a rabies certificate) is required. If you have any questions, you may reach Animal Control at 402-564-8839.
