The City received $26,400 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for Phase 1 for a planning study to determine future project(s) and $3000 for general administration of the grant.
Local matching funds of $12,600 will be provided by the City of Columbus. The grant will also require an additional leverage of $12,600 within the target area and to benefit low-to-moderate income persons. The total project cost is $39,000.
The City of Columbus is utilizing the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District as an independent entity to accomplish the scope of work to best accomplish the objectives of the local CDBG program.
Residents living in Columbus are encouraged to complete a survey to help identify potential projects within this targeted area that could receive Community Development Block Grant funding. Potential eligible activities may include:
