[ARCHIVED] June 13, 2017 Storm Damage

To assist the City in cleanup activities following the storm last evening:

- All trees that were growing in the City Right-Of-Way and were damaged from the storm will be cleaned up by City forces (limbs and uprooted stumps).

**Priority will be given to trees that are in the roadway

- Any tree that fell into the street during the storm, no matter where it was growing, will be cleaned up by City forces. The City will clean up these trees on the City Right-Of-Way. They will not be able to clean up trees on private property.

- If you had damage on your property to a tree that was not growing in the City Right-Of-Way or did not fall into the Right-Of-Way, the City would like to request that you follow the City policy that you do not move that debris into the Right-Of-Way. The City needs to be able to focus as much attention as possible on Right-Of-Way debris as soon as possible.

- The City Transfer Station will be accepting tree debris free of charge through Saturday, June 17th. The Transfer Station is located at 250 South 14th Avenue. City trucks hauling tree debris will be given priority at the drop-off site.
Hours at the transfer station will be:
Wednesday, June 14th open until 8:00 pm
    Thursday, June 15th 8:45 am - 8:00 pm
    Friday, June 16th 8:45 am - 8:00 pm
    Saturday, June 17th 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Citizens are asked to be patient as we have limited forces to address this storm damage. We anticipate it will take 2-3 weeks to complete the work. If a sidewalk was damaged due to a falling tree, please take a picture and submit it to City Hall to be considered for repair.
