[ARCHIVED] Free Wood Chips Available at City of Columbus Transfer Station

The City of Columbus recently has been able to work with the City’s wood resource contractor in being able to generate wood chips of a similar quality to those which have been available for purchase at various commercial businesses within the community.

These wood chips are available FREE to the public at the City’s Transfer Station, 250 South 14th Avenue, during normal hours of operations (Summer Hours: M-F, 8:45 A.M. to 5 P.M.) on a first come basis as long as the materials are available.

Upon completing a Hold Harmless Agreement with the City, the City Staff is available to assist in loading the chips through the use of a front-end loader, into your pickup, truck, or trailer. Remember to tarp your load in order to avoid spill out. If you have any questions, please call the City Transfer Station at 402-562-4254.
