Jackie Farrell, a favorite of library program attendees, will come again this year on Saturday, September 16th at 2:00 PM to the library auditorium to teach us the skill of canning salsa. She will have copies of her recipes for you to take home to make more of your own salsa. This is a workshop where all participants are involved in the canning process from washing the vegetables, dicing, slicing, cooking, and processing. Vegetables and canning supplies are provided, but any donations would be most welcome. Tortilla chips will also be provided for tasting the salsa. Participants will leave with a jar of their own salsa at the end of this workshop. There is no registration and participation is free.
