Posted on: November 22, 2017[ARCHIVED] Downtown Traffic Control Modifications
Scheduled to begin the week of November 27th, the work relating to the revised traffic control devices at the following intersections in the downtown area will commence.
The work should be completed in about two weeks. The current traffic patterns will remain the same, however the flashing red signals will be replaced with stop signs.
11th Street and 23rd Avenue: Stop signs on 11th Street eastbound and westbound
13th Street and 23rd Avenue: Stop signs on 13th Street eastbound and westbound (turning north or south)
13th Street and 25th Avenue: Stop signs on 25th Avenue northbound and southbound
14th Street and 23rd Avenue: Stop sign on 14th Street westbound
14th Street and 25th Avenue: Stop signs on 25th Avenue northbound and southbound
The remaining downtown area traffic signals will not be affected.
Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use extreme caution in the downtown area. Drivers are reminded to stop behind the stop sign and stop bar for pedestrian safety. Speed limits in downtown are 20 mph unless otherwise posted.
