[ARCHIVED] Summer Reading Program

The Columbus Public Library (CPL) will once again be offering its annual summer reading program. This year’s children’s theme is “Dream Big—Read @ Your Library” and is coordinated and conducted by Brad Hruska, Children’s Librarian.

On Mondays, full-length, animated features like “Cinderella,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “An American Tale” will be shown from 10:30 a.m. -noon in the Columbus Art Gallery (lower level of the library).

On Tuesdays, presentations/activities are scheduled from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at various locations around Columbus featuring programs by magicians Adam White and Jeff Quinn, the Magical Paradise Exotic Farm, the Pawnee Plunge, the Nebraska Games and Parks Commission, Raptor Rescue Nebraska, and the Columbus Arts Council.

CPL will also be offering its regular story times on Thursdays from 10:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. Children will have the privilege of listening to tales from talented readers from around the area.
