[ARCHIVED] City of Columbus Launches New Utility Billing Format

Utility Bill Attachment

The City of Columbus Water/Wastewater Department is pleased to announce the launch of its new billing format. Your monthly Water/Sewer bill will arrive as a full page bill in an envelope, as opposed to the previous postcard format.

It will include a convenient tear-off portion at the top which can be returned with your payment. It is clearly marked “Utility Bill”. Your “DUE DATE” and “PLEASE PAY THIS AMOUNT” are shown in the upper right, and below that will be your last payment amount and the date which it was received. Please see the Sample bill for these features.

Along the middle left of the page occurs the due date of any past-due balances, along with your additional payment options. At the bottom right will again be the “DUE DATE” and “PLEASE PAY THIS AMOUNT”. If you are signed up for Automatic payments from your bank account, these will continue as usual, and the debit withdrawal amount will appear here instead.

You will now also have an online payment option, located on the City of Columbus website, www.columbusne.us. This easy-to-use payment portal provides customers with quick access to their account to view bills, check their balance and make payments.
