Please allow time for the water/sewer billing department to determine the extent of the billing errors.
Please hold your water/sewer billing until further notice. If you have already paid the bill you received, that payment will be credited to your account.
Again, we sincerely apologize for this error.

The following has been discovered after additional investigation.
The current bill shows a 'billing period' of July 1st to July 31st, but the actual meter 'reading period' included a portion of August.
This happened because the city's existing meter reading technology and new finance/billing software did not work together seamlessly, which caused a delay in reading meters.
This resulted in a reading period of approximately 43 to 45 days rather than a normal period of approximately 30 days.
We will be changing future utility bills to show the 'reading period' rather than the 'billing period'. The technology issue has been resolved and will not cause future issues.
Your next utility bill will be proportionally less. The average of the two bills (August and September) will be normal.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Implementation of the new software system has improved efficiency in many ways, but has also caused some transitional challenges.
