[ARCHIVED] Water/Sewer Billing 09/06/2019

As previously reported, the recent software conversion caused meters to be read 13-15 days later than normal.

The consumption on your water bill represents 13-15 days more than the previous month’s bill. Your next bill will have 13-15 fewer consumption days.  When analyzing your consumption, please compare the consumption of the same month, the previous year, rather than the previous month. The City of Columbus has performed spot checks of meters and performed a complete review of the billing; no errors have been found. For this reason, utility customers will need to pay the bill they received.

The City will also be making changes to the billing format; this will allow customers to more easily compare consumption with the same month, the previous year.

You can view your consumption history by following the following directions:

  1. Go to: www/columbusne.us/utilitybill
  2. Type in your address
  3. Select your account
  4. Input your ‘ONLINE LOOKUP PIN#:’ located on the top right side of your billing statement, under the detachable portion
  5. Click ‘submit’
