Some City of Columbus departments will be closed Monday, May 25, 2020 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
All departments located in City Hall will be closed. Columbus Aquatic Center, Columbus Area Transit, Columbus Community Center, and the Columbus Public Library are already closed because of Covid-19, and will not be available to take calls on May 25th.
The Columbus Police Department Lobby & front desk will be closed May 25th. However, police officers will be available for calls for service and emergency responses 24 hours a day.
City parks will be open for individual and small group usage only; parks will be closed to all team or group events, and any activities involving groups of more than 10 people. Only activities in which social distancing can be observed will be allowed. Park Restrooms are closed.
Quail Run and Van Berg Golf Courses will be open, with rules in place to insure social distancing.
Columbus and Roselawn Cemeteries will be open; and again, please observe social distancing.
The Columbus Transfer Station will be open Monday, May 25 to licensed garbage haulers only from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon. The Yard Waste Site will be open Saturday and Sunday during their normal hours, but will be closed on Monday, May 25.
The Street Department, Wastewater, Water Production and Water Utility Service Divisions will be on call for emergencies.
The Columbus Fire and Police departments will be available 24-7 for all public safety responses.
