The Columbus City Council has adopted guidelines for the use of assistance from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for façade improvements in downtown Columbus.
Downtown business owners are invited to attend a meeting next Thursday afternoon, July 12, at 1:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 1369 25th Avenue at which time the guidelines will be explained and applications for financial assistance provided.
At the same meeting, a representative of the Nebraska State Historical Society will be in attendance to discuss with these owners the impacts of the “historic district” of downtown and how and what improvements can be made and comply with the historic designation. All property owners and tenants are encouraged to attend this important session.
