[ARCHIVED] Songs & Stories of the American West

A troubadour is riding into Columbus for a special afternoon of contemporary western music and poetry at the Friedhof Building (1270 27 Ave.), sponsored by the Columbus Public Library, on Saturday, March 6th.

Kerry Grombacher will perform a “Songs & Stories of the American West” concert at 2 p.m. His work draws vivid portraits and tells fascinating stories that are set in the Western landscape, where he’s worked and traveled with cowboys and Indians, ranchers and rodeo riders, outfitters and chuck wagon cooks, and lawmen and lawbreakers. Kerry is a successful solo artist performing nationwide for arts councils, private concerts, festivals, museums, and libraries. His songs are influenced by the English ballad tradition and the corridos of the desert southwest, where Kerry has lived and worked. Bring your whole family to experience learning about the American West in a fun and exciting way.
